What is the best way to start an event coordinating business?

One of the best ways to start an event planning business if you have no prior events or business experience is through volunteering or an internship.
Volunteering at events or within an event management company will provide you with valuable on the job experience so you can learn what is required prior to starting a company.
An internship offers very similar benefits in that you get the opportunity to learn about the industry from the ground, make mistakes and see what areas of event planning you also enjoy the most. The great thing about an internship is that if you are working with an events company as an intern you can have access to “shadow” the business owner and other decision-makers to learn more about the operations side of the business as well, not just planning and design.
Once you have those steps completed you can begin exploring the more practical steps of starting a business such as finding a name, registering the business and setting up your branding and operational structures.
